Splinter turn 15!

Today, 1st June 2012, marks 15 years since Splinter Design first opened it’s doors back in 1997. Paul Musgrave has been quick to point out that he was running Splinter Graphics back in 1996, but it was 1997 that Paul and Chris formed the company as we know it today!

There’s been many ups and downs over the years but we’re happy to say Splinter has survived the journey intact and have picked up a lot of friends along the way! In fact it’s amazing we’re still here having survived a range of predicaments including Chris and Paul scuffling in bars, attention from Liverpool’s mafia, various broken limbs and state oppression… to name but a few!

To mark the occasion we’ve done a limited edition set of 97 prints. One side features the names of all the people who have been in some way part of the Splinter family over the years and the other side features a series of 15 designs that relate to happy memories from over the years. It has also been our first opportunity to have a bit of fun with our yet-to-be-unveiled new Splinter brand. Each design has also been made into an accompanying badge.

It was a happy accident when one of the guys in the studio realised that looking at the print through 3D glasses had a bit of a mad effect! So each print is bundled with a set of specs too!

We’ve given out most of the prints, but we have kept aside 10 to give out today. So each tube will have the print itself, a selection of badges and some 3D specs!
If you’d like to get your mitts on one just add a comment here or tweet us with the hashtag #splinter15. We’ll announce the winners at 15:00 today!
