Splinter recently finished a project for the Woodcraft Folks C-Change project that has just come back from Glastonbury. The project is aimed at informing young people (15-24 years old) about climate change. Splinter designed a booklet that would be visually engaging and provide key facts on climate change setting out constructive steps that the viewer can take to make a lasting change.
The materials were taken to Glastonbury and displayed in the Face Your Elephant tent at Glastonbury, so called as the avergae human produces 2 tonnes of CO2 a year, the weight of 2 elephants. We have subsequently produced other supporting material highlighting key events being held around the UK and have built a number of flash banners for the C-Change website (http://www.switchonswitchoff.org/) Julie Thorpe,C-Change Project Manager said: C-Change was a new project without an established visual identity when we approached Splinter to design our first publication - a booklet for young people about climate change. The guys at Splinter did a brilliant job of turning our ideas into images in a style which really appealled to our target audience. From the initial design concept we now have a brand image which we are delighted with - flyers, posters, flash animations, and display boards. Splinter have been flexible and responsive to our feedback throughout the design process. A pleasure to work with." |
