J8 Summit website goes live
Monday, 29 January 2007

The J8 Summit website went live last week and has already registered thousands of hits from around the world. J8, is the junior wing of G8 and gives young people the chance to develop their own ideas about the most pressing global issues today, discuss them with their friends, classmates and young people from around the world, and present them to the leaders of eight of the most powerful countries in the world.

Marc Feustel of Good Business who are managing the project on behalf of Morgan Stanley / UNICEF stated:

“Just wanted to send an email to thank you for all the fantastic work you have done. The sites look excellent and are working really well. We have had good feedback from several UNICEF National Committees and most importantly from the Chairman of the Morgan Stanley International Foundation who used the word ‘fantastic’. Thanks for pulling out all the stops and getting the site launched pretty much on schedule.

Great work and thank you again!”

The site will continued to be developed until the summit takes place in the summer, and will encourage young people to submit competition entries where the winners will be rewarded by being invited to the summit.
