Following on from the recent good news about the BIMA’s, we had some more ace news that the Famous People games we did for BBC Primary History have been awarded a bronze Lovie Award in the Education category. We’re in some esteemed company, judging by the winners list, so massive thanks to the Lovie folks for the award.
If you want to play the Famous People games then head on over here.
A recent flu campaign created by Rachael Boden, Sarah Parsons and Kevin McCann from Splinter for Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust (LCH) has gained national coverage from ‘The Drum‘ and ‘Click Liverpool‘.
We’re really chuffed to find out that we’ve been shortlisted for a BIMA award for the BBC Bitesize Max & Molly games we made last year. They must like Pablo as much as we do! Thanks BIMA-folks, massively appreciated!
The 20th September 2012 heralded Liverpool Community Health (LCH) NHS Trusts second Annual General Meeting (AGM).
After Splinter’s very own Kev McCann attended last years AGM, we at Splinter HQ decided upon the theme of ‘Amazing Feats’, after all, LCH perform so many of them, day in and day out.
No, It’s not a suggestion for you to roll your own, it’s a call to our very own Splinter Ringmaster (AKA Kev McCann) to cheer along one of our fave clients; Liverpool Community Health.
LCH will be applauding loudly to the ‘amazing feats’ of its staff and services, at today’s Annual General Meeting.
It’s a happy day in Splinter today as we celebrate our lovely Print Manager Kev’s coming of age. Apparently life begins at 40 (so says Chris anyway) but today it begins when we cut his 40th birthday battenberg decorated skillfully by Mr Jon “Cake Boss” Raffe.
Today, 1st June 2012, marks 15 years since Splinter Design first opened it’s doors back in 1997. Paul Musgrave has been quick to point out that he was running Splinter Graphics back in 1996, but it was 1997 that Paul and Chris formed the company as we know it today! (more…)
Splinter MD Chris Beer has finally got round to purchasing a new car to help his recurring back problems due to his increasing maturity.
After talk of Land Rovers and other butch cars, Chris has gone for the hairdressers special, the Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin.
In true Splinter style, the lads from the office have suitably decorated the car for him!
A massive congratulations to Speke secondary school, Parklands High, as their pupils’ student social enterprise project ‘T’s @ The Park’, (a unique student social enterprise business), won a prestigious award at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress event held in the Liverpool Echo Arena last week. The award was presented by the not-too shabby Sir Richard Branson!
Working in partnership with Liverpool Community Health (LCH) and Parklands School, Splinter’s Production Manager Kev McCann designed an infographic style poster for the project. The poster was really well received by LCH and we are now working on other internal communications documents using the infographic approach.
