Splinter were commissioned to write, design and produce 11 Bitesize KS1 interactive science games for the BBC. Once the project commenced we were also commissioned to produce a further 7 titles focused on the Scottish Level 1 curriculum.
The games, launched in September 2011 feature the main characters, Max and Molly and a consistent illustrative style throughout. The games are built in Actionscript 2 with content updateable via XML. Educational techniques employed include multiple choice, process of elimination, remembering sequences and cloze sentences.
